A Message from Head of Department

The role and importance of the financial services business in our country of which financial deepening has increased every single day have grown. The financial institutions such as banks, insurance and brokerage institutions, etc., which tried to filled increased personnel need from non-specialized areas in the past years have needed more specialized staff today.
Our difference as a department of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences is that the specifically job-oriented education is practically accompanied by the theoretical education. This is a great advantage.

The main aim of this department is to educate people who are equipped with the qualifications demanded by the national and international financial institutions that operate in monetary and capital markets, who can think critically, who are willing to make research and who question. Beside theoretical education, it has been aimed at providing training for market applications through internship and practical applications.

The graduates of the Department of Finance and Banking have a wide range of job opportunities. Graduates have employment opportunities in the public and private sectors. These include BRSA (Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency), CMB (Capital Markets Board), factoring, forfaiting, leasing companies, insurance companies, consulting companies, security brokerage institutions and private sector enterprises and private banks and other public institutions.
